St. Hilda’s Colliery is a former mining colliery and ventilation shaft located in South Shields. A listed building comprising of a large vertical lift void to the rear and 4 storeys of cellular spaces to the front elevation.
The works include remodelling & refurbishment to create a visitor centre/gallery space and adjoining studio spaces, together with the possibility of external container type pods being added at a later date.
Kinetic Engineers were appointed directly by the Client, The Tyne & Wear Building Preservation Trust, to develop Mechanical and Electrical services proposals including dynamic thermal modelling through from project inception, design development and on-site monitoring of installation works.
This project went out to tender September 2016.
