Kinetic Engineers Ltd were appointed direct by the owner of this grade 2 listed private property. The property consisted of a two storey accommodation block which was the refurbished existing building. A conservatory along with a glazed corridor were also added to the property. A new 2 storey hunting lodge extension is to be provided at a future date.
As part of our appointment Kinetic were required to provide M&E tender documentation, sustainability advice, and witnessing of the building services commissioning. Project due for completion early 2011.

Winn Studios is a large, circa 400 bedroom student accommodation block over 8 storeys which is currently being built on behalf of Northumbria University. This project has utilised solar water heating to provide some of the domestic hot water system load for the clusters of accommodation. As part of our appointment Kinetic undertook full M & E design duties.
Kinetic were also appointed directly by the developer to undertake the BREEAM assessment. Expected project completion early 2011.

This mixed use, ground floor retail and 2 storey residential development was undertaken as a design and build contract. Kinetic were appointed directly by the developer to undertake the M & E performance specifications and design intent services drawings, along with checking consultancy and on site monitoring / witnessing.
We were also appointed to undertake the SBEM calculations on behalf of the client to demonstrate Part L compliance for the retail units.
The project proved successful and has lead to repeat work with the same client.
